Are Llamas affordable?

You betcha! Prices are dependent on the animal. Variables affect the price: sex, age, confirmation, level of training, fiber quality, bloodline etc. As a rule of thumb, expect our pet males to be the lowest price, sometimes as low as $500. In order to start a herd; a male Sire could range in prices from $1,000 - $2,500. Our female price range is between $1,200 -$4,000.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us and perhaps begin negotiations. The above prices are guidelines posted to give you an idea towards your investment. We are committed to all of our Fiber Animals AND the people who buy them.

2 year old intact light wool Male - NorthStarr

NorthStarr

Head & Hearts' NorthStarr

2 year old intact light wool Male, Sire is Galaxy and Dam is Savuti. NorthStarr is a Pack llama in training and doing very well in the pack string along side his dad. He has been shown in several conformation shows and has placed 3rd in all shows. NorthStarr is our "Herd Clown", you can tell as you see him pictured at the back door holding a boot in his mouth. NorthStarr is very well trained and easy for small children to handle and lead. He has charcoal gray double coat fiber meaning that he does have the guard hair that protects the soft downy type fiber, after the guard hairs are removed you've got a very fine soft (almost virgin fiber) because it has been protected by the guard hair. Even though it is more labor intensive to prepare a double coat llama the end results far out-weigh the work involved. Galaxy and his light wool double coat offspring have my very favorite llama fiber to spin.
NorthStarr sells for $750

SOLD - to Neal & Kimber Cocke and their 2 daughters at Whispering Pines Farm in Bassett, VA.
